Healthcare Reform Updates
Just as throughout the 2010 election campaign, the last legislative session, and the 2012 election, the Republicans have put the issue of healthcare reform at the top of their destructive agenda. Despite the fact that the Affordable Care Act was passed into law, subject to Supreme Court scrutiny and then fully debated in the 2012 Presidential Election - which they emphatically lost, the Republicans persist: holding the US government, economy and people to ransom over their ideologically-driven attempt to circumvent normal democrat procedures.
However, the Affordable Care Act is in place and the Health Insurance Marketplace is now up and running. Registration ends on January 17, 2017, and so this site will probably disappear.
We have now archived most of the material we produced for the campaign for the passage of the Healthcare Reform Bill. This material not only has historical value, but can also remind us of the issues debated and the varied forms activism can take.
